Sewing Classes
Manav Seva Trust is trying hard to do upliftment of the women. Manav Seva is heartily implementing Beti Bachavo and Beti Padhavo Abhiyan. Manav Seva wishes that a girl should get better education and engage herself in some livelihood activity for better earning and to live quality life. With this intention Manav Seva Trust started sewing classes for the village women with the financial support and guidance from the BOSCH India foundation.
For this activity organization selected interior villages like Nani Kishol, Melasana,Karngadh, Hathipura, Khicha, Lekhamba and Lilapur. These villages are located about 40 kms away from the Taluka head quarter. There are limited earning opportunities for women as they are mainly working as farm laborer. Farm laborer income is not sufficient to feed a family properly. Hence Manav Seva involved them in sewing activity to provide them opportunity to generate additional income for their family members. Total 300 women trained so far. They started earning doing stitching for their villagers. From these 300 women, 160 women are employed by the Arvind Mills situated near Bavla. They are earning INR 8000 to 10000/month.
